Hot Pictures of Val Kilmer

Because I like to keep up with the times, I recently watched the 1985 movie Real Genius starring hottie Val Kilmer.

val-kilmer-real-genius

Wow, what a babe! I thought to myself. I should see that other movie he did, Top Gun!

valkilmertopgun

He might be the Iceman but he makes my cold heart melt! I wonder what he’d look like as a brunette. Gee, we’re lucky because he dyed his hair in Willow!

valkilmer-willow

Yum! I’d like to see him without his shirt now, please. Can someone help me out?

valkilmer-the-doors

What do you know? He teased us in The Doors! Not bad! I bet he’d rock a mustache.

val-kilmer-tombstone

Yup, he can certainly can. We can put that on his ‘tombstone’ if you get my drift!

That Val Kilmer, what a babe!

Is Eddie Vedder Still Hot?

There are SO many important things going on in the world today that are of great concern to me.

For example, should I start watching The Crown or Stranger Things? Should I read Girl on the Train or wait till it comes out on DVD? Is Arnold Schwarzenegger as good a host of Celebrity Apprentice as his predecessor? These are really important questions and I need to know the answers!

arnoldschwarzenegger

I also wonder if these muscles are natural or not? Probably natural!

Luckily one thing I DON’T need to know is if ’90s grunge god Eddie Vedder is still hot in 2017 because last night there was this TV special called President Obama’s Farewell Address and Eddie showed up IN PERSON to satisfy the mystery!

eddievedder

Yes I meant you to see that I own a copy of Tree of Life. Cropping pics is for babies.

It was a really cool show and there were testaments to democracy, troops, lots of Team America stuff, etc etc, but the best part is we got to see Mr. Vedder look pensive and serious and concerned just like he did on MTV from 1991-1993!

I wasn’t even that into Pearl Jam back in the day but all I know is that if Jeremy spoke in class today he would say that yes, Mr. Vedder is hot!

I love America!

I Want Elizabeth Hurley’s Safety Pin Dress, and Other Sh– I Still Love from the ’90s

I consider myself a fairly fashionable person. For every one of these:

I bet this girl lost her virginity at a late age! Arrrgggghhhh, shiver me tits!

These stripes were not slimming.

I wear one of these:

Sequins, shoulder pads. and a face. WORK IT.

Sequins, shoulder pads. and a face. WORK IT.

I know you’re thinking that People Magazine should highlight me in their style section. Heck, Vogue should put me on the cover! Kohl’s should give me my own fashion line! The bottom line is I have exquisite taste and I have the 1990s to thank for that!

The 1990s brought so many amazing things.

Emmy Predictions 2016: The Rest of Them, part 3

We’re just going to hurry down the home stretch here!

Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series

Who I Want to Win: UnREAL. I’ve never watched the show but it’s on Lifetime and have they ever been nominated for any Emmys before? It’s TIME!

Who Will Win: The Good Wife. Hopefully we can see Julianna Margulies and Archie Panjabi in person together. Fingers crossed!

Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special

Who I Want to Win: John Mulaney: The Comeback Kid. My brother and I used to see him perform in the back room of a bar every Thursday ten years ago and he has been one of the funniest guys around for at least that long.

Who Will Win: Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo

Outstanding Writing for a Limited Series, Movie or Dramatic Special

Who I Want to Win: One of the three The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story episodes nominated. Who ever came up with “If it doesn’t fit, you must acquit!” is the most brilliant writer alive!

Who Will Win: I could see Fargo taking this Emmy.

Outstanding Limited Series

Who I Want to Win: The Night Manager

night-manager-488521

I can see why Taylor Swift made Tom Hiddleston her fake boyfriend!

Who Will Win: The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story. While I really enjoyed this series, part of its draw was the nostalgia factor. I could see it taking the Emmy for sentimental reasons.

Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie

Who I Want to Win: This is perhaps the most solid group of nominees in the entire Emmys. I loved Hugh Laurie as Richard Roper in The Night Manager and David Schwimmer was terrific as Robert Kardashian in the The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story. But I’m going to go with Sterling K. Brown for his empathetic turn as Christopher Darden in The People.

Who Will Win: David Schwimmer. If they give to John Travolta as Robert Shapiro I will be disappointed!

Outstanding Variety Sketch Series

Who I Want to Win: Another solid category but I’m going with Portlandia. Would also be happy with a Key & Peele victory.

Who Will Win: Inside Amy Schumer

That’s all folks! Till next year!

Emmy Predictions 2016: The Rest of Them, Part 2

With just a few hours to the Emmys, I’ve decided to bless you with my brilliant insight!

Let’s proceed, shall we?

emmy-award

Some day you will be mine, bitch!

Outstanding Drama Series

Who I Want to Win: Better Call Saul. It’s not a perfect show but it’s offbeat and different from the typical drama.

Who Will Win: Game of Thrones though I could also see The Americans or Mr. Robot taking the prize. The latter two shows are tres trendy right now!

Outstanding Television Movie

This is still a thing? Why isn’t the category all Lifetime movies then? Anyway . . .

Who I Want to Win: All the Way on HBO because Walter White Bryan Cranston is in it.

Walter White mean

Still scares me.

Who Will Win: Confirmation on HBO because you know Hollywood likes to take a political stand!

Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series

Who I Want to Win: Keegan-Michael Key as various characters, Key & Peele. One of the funniest all time shows on television. And no offense to Keegs, but why isn’t Jordan Peele nominated? They both deserve it!

Who Will Win: Tony Hale as Gary Walsh, Veep. He and Phil Dunphy always seem to trade this Emmy off. It’s Hale’s year to win again.

Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series

Who I Want to Win: Jonathan Banks as Mike Ehrmantraut, Better Call Saul. He never got the award for his amazing performance in Breaking Bad and it’s time already to give him the goddamn award!

Who Will Win: Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister OR Kit “don’t call me pretty” Harrington as Jon Snow, Game of Thrones. Dinklage usually wins this category but I could see them giving it to the bastard this year.

Jon snow

Honestly even shirtless Kit doesn’t do it for me. But I know he does it for some of you so I posted this pic anyway. I’m thoughtful like that!

Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series

Who I Want to Win: Niecy Nash as Didi Ortley, Getting On. One of the most underrated, subtle, empathetic and amazing performances of the year. There is pretty much no way she will get it but she deserves it!

Who Will Win: Allison Janney as BonnieMom. I’ve never met anyone who actually watches this show but Janney has taken the award the past two years so why should tonight be any different.

Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series

Who I Want to Win: Dame Maggie Smith as Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham, Downton Abbey. Duh.

Who Will Win: I’m worried about this category. The Dame has won it before and I could see them giving it to her again as a final adieu. But I am scared that Emilia Clarke could get it for her performance as Daenerys in Game of Thrones and I know this is a VERY controversial opinion but I find her extremely one note and amateur to watch. Please don’t sic on any dragons on me.

I’ve still got more coming but this is what you get for now!

Emmy Predictions 2016: The Rest of Them, Part 1

Hey kidz!

The Emmys are tonight and I have about a zillion posts left to write and I know you are EAGERLY awaiting them so I’ll give them to you quick.

road-runner-1

We’re doing this Road Runner style! Beep beep!

Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series

Who I Want to Win: “Founder Friendly” on Silicon Valley

Who Will Win: One of the two Veep episodes that was nominated. I still haven’t watched this season but Veep is an Emily favorite. Yawn.

Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series

Who I Want to Win: “Founder Friendly” on Silicon Valley

Who Will Win: One of the THREE Veep episodes that was nominated. For reasons why, see above.

Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series

Who I Want to Win: “Battle of the Bastards” on Game of Thrones

Who Will Win: “Battle of the Bastards” on Game of Thrones. As much as I am a Downton Abbey slut – they were also nominated – “Battle” is an epic episode that deserves to win this category.

battleofthebastards

Go Jon Snow go!

Outstanding Directing for a Limited Series, Movie or Dramatic Special

Who I Want to Win: The Night Manager

Who Will Win: One of the three The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story episodes nominated. Don’t get me wrong – I LOVED this show. But one, no one really cares about this category and two, The Night Manager seemed a more complex in its directing. But what do I know? I’m just a brilliant blogger.

Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special

Why is this category even televised? Oh that’s right TV is a self-fellating industry! (Which I still LOVE and ADORE!)

Who I Want to Win: Lemonade

Who Will Win: Lemonade

Illuminati.jpg

I’m scared of the Illuminati so I’m going with Queen B.

I’ll be back for more later!

Emmy Predictions 2016: Outstanding Comedy Series

Picture it.  Hollywood. 2010.

sophia

Where’s the cheesecake?

The DVR Files was not yet born. 30 Rock was the stahhhhh of the Emmys, winning the award for best comedy series three years in a row. Could anything – anyone – knock them off their throne?

The answer is yes. Modern F—ing Family could. And they would make 30 Rock‘s domination at the Emmys look like child’s play when they themselves would proceed to take the Emmy in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 201—

Wait? What happened in 2015?

Veep finally said enough is enough and pushed Modern Family off the cliff.

dunphyfamily

Die Dunphys die!!!

So now we’re back for the 2016 Emmys! Who will win???

The nominees:

  • black-ish
  • Master of None
  • Modern Family
  • Silicon Valley
  • Transparent
  • Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Veep and Modern Family will go head to ahead again. There are five other nominees but do any of them really have a chance? My favorite is Silicon Valley, which has the amazing ability to tell a dramatic and exciting story while making me (nearly) piss my pants laughing. I’d like them to be the surprise winner.

Who I Want to Win: Silicon Valley

Who Will Win: Modern Family. I think they’re ready to return the crown.

Emmy Predictions 2016: Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series

Women are ALWAYS so dramatic so it’s a miracle that we weren’t all nominated for the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series! Only these women were!

The noms:

  • Taraji P. Henson as Cookie Lyon, Empire
  • Claire Danes as Carrie Mathison, Homeland
  • Robin Wright as Claire Underwood, House of Cards
  • Viola Davis as Annalise Keating, How to Get Away With Murder
  • Tatiana Maslany as the chick with too many names, Orphan Black
  • Keri Russell as Elizabeth Jennings, The Americans

Let’s begin, shall we?

Empire is one of the trashiest most fun shows on TV and our girl Cookie brings her A game every week to the fashion world.

cookielyon

But the Emmy world? Eh. People’s Choice world I’ll give her

Claire Danes won in 2012 and 2013 and she should never win again because of this famous speech she gave in 2012.

Unless she is talking about challah bread I never need her to accept an award again, thankyouverymuch.

My mom loves House of Cards so I’m sure Robin is terrific. Viola Davis won last year and we know how the Emmys likes to repeat. All my friends who used to brag they never watched TV now always rave about Orphan Black so I bet Tatiana is great! And Keri will always be Felicity to me.

felciity

Just don’t cut your hair!!!

Who I Want to Win: Not Claire Danes. Taraji then? Why not.

Who Will Win: Viola Davis

Emmy Predictions 2016: Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series

The Emmys are just three days away and I am busy looking into the crystal ball to see who will win.

crystal ball Em

Wait a minute. Aunt Em wasn’t nominated for any Emmys!

Luckily one of my fave categories is next . . . Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. I love wacky women!

The noms:

  • Tracee Ellis Ross as Rainbow Johnson, black-ish
  • Laurie Metcalf as Dr. Jenna James, Getting On
  • Lily Tomlin as Frankie, Grace and Frankie
  • Amy Schumer as Amy, Inside Amy Schumer
  • Ellie Kemper as Kimmy Schmidt, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
  • Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Selina Meyer, Veep

Part of me is why bother. The notorious JLD will win, as she has every year since 2012. She’s like the opposite of Susan Lucci!

Truth be told I love Veep but I STILL haven’t watched this latest season. I will believe that Julia was probably terrific. I did watch Inside Amy Schumer and enjoyed it, but I wouldn’t say her performance was anything out of the ball park – the writing is what makes that show strong. And while I’ve heard great things about Grace and Frankie and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, I’ve never watched them so they totally don’t deserve it.

The show I DID watch and consider one of the best on television is Getting On. The show is finito after three seasons on HBO so I hope it gets the accolades it deserves this year. It is truly one of the best written, most honest, hilarious shows on TV. The cast is superb and felt like people you actually could know in real life. Metcalf deserves the Emmy. She is an underrated gem and I love her.

Who I Want to Win: Laurie Metcalf

Who Will Win: Julia Louis-Dreyfus

Emmy Predictions 2016: Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series

It’s time for the heavy stuff people. The DRAMA. I’m going to expound on who should win the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.

The noms:

  • Bob Odenkirk as Jimmy McGill, Better Call Saul
  • Kyle Chandler as John Rayburn, Bloodline
  • Kevin Spacey as Francis Underwood, House of Cards
  • Rami Malek as Elliot, Mr. Robot
  • Liev Schrieber as Ray Donovan, Ray Donovan
  • Matthew Rhys as Philip Jennings, The Americans

Four of the six nominees are repeats from last year which is awesome because I could cut and paste from last year’s predictions. How convenient!

Only Rami and Matthew are new to the list and they both star on shows which I have actually tried and, wait for this, I couldn’t get into. I know, I’m a real big weirdo because all the cool kids like Mr. Robot and The Americans. To me those shows are (pretentious literary reference alert) the Ian McEwan books of television – I respect them as well done but they’re not for me. I do recognize Rami as a talented actor – he was my favorite thespian in the 2010 HBO miniseries The Pacific which also featured the kid from Jurassic Park.

the-pacific

Steal an HBO Go password and watch The Pacific.

I do watch Better Call Saul and as much as I love Bob Odenkirk, his performance is often one note. I don’t think he has the depth of some of these other actors. This pains me to say because it’s the only show I watch on the list!

Who I Want to Win: Rami Malek because why not.

Who Will Win: Kevin Spacey
